Develop Your Drawing and Painting — Wherever You Are

Follow Ed’s art classes from home, revisit demonstrations, and catch up on any lessons you have missed—all at your own pace and from the comfort of home.

There has never been more information available to artists. Books, videos, tutorials and online courses can all be useful—but with so much to choose from, it is easy to become overwhelmed or unsure what to focus on next.

The Online Studio provides a clear structure. Lessons are arranged step by step around the key ideas and skills that matter most, with practical guidance on how to learn, practise and apply them effectively.

For students attending my in-person classes, it also provides a valuable resource between sessions. You can catch up on a missed lesson, watch a demonstration again, revisit reference material, or refresh your memory before continuing with your work.

What Members Receive

For in-person students

Students attending one of my 12-week Suffolk art courses receive access to the accompanying Online Studio course material for four months. This allows you to revisit demonstrations, download references and catch up when you miss a session.

For online members

You can also join independently through Patreon and follow the lessons from home, wherever you live. You do not need to attend one of my in-person classes

Trusted by Thousands of Artists Online

In 2021, I moved my art classes online during lockdown and began sharing drawing and painting lessons on YouTube.

Since then, the channel has grown to more than 10,000 subscribers, with many lessons continuing to be watched every day by artists around the world.

The Online Studio builds on that experience by offering something more structured: clear, step-by-step courses, practical exercises and guidance on how to practise—not simply more individual tutorials.

  • 10,000+ YouTube subscribers
  • Thousands of lesson views
  • Teaching adult artists since 2009
